Part of the Kingdom Advance series, preached at a MacArthur Church service
[NOTE: I have been relieved of my pastoral duties at MacArthur Blvd. Christian Church so this may be the first and last of this series unless there is an appropriate setting to continue it. I've been blogging about the experience. If this series continues, I'll let you know there.]
The Kingdom of God is advancing. When did that advance begin? Where is going? How do we fit in? This is the first in a series of teachings that explore the our work as followers of Jesus as we encounter conditions in this world that exist contrary to the will of God.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5
3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (KJV)
10Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. (KJV)
33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (KJV)
13Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. 14But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 15And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. (KJV)
