A brother and sister are in the presence of Jesus today, victims of violence in this world . Tiffany Johnson, 25, and Philip Krouse, 24, (left frames) were killed while Dan Griebenow, 24, and Charlie Blanch, 22 were wounded. Please pray for their friends and families. They are our people. This incident reminds us that hate is strong in the world and the Lord has called us to face it with love and with courage. Days like this make it clear that discipleship can be costly. May the sacrifice of these young brethren quicken all of us to the call to be the body of Christ.
And in despair I bowed my head,‘There is no peace on earth,’ I said. ‘For hate is strong and mocks the song, Of peace on earth, good will to men.’ Then pealed the bells more loud and deep: ‘God is not dead, nor doth he sleep; The wrong shall fail, the right prevail with peace on earth, good will to men.’

Shalom.
That Post is so touching and thoughtful.
Shortly after I learned of this tragedy yesterday morning I was reading some Scriptures focused on the Second Sunday of Advent which revolves around Peace or “Shalom.” How ironic that these dear brothers and sisters would lose their earthly lives in such a senseless and violent act on the Advent Sunday of Peace. May the Prince of Peace come to each heart that grieves such senseless violence.
